Listen and Hear the Wind

Weather: storms with thunder and lightning & wind
So many of Gods people say that they are “Christians” but they do not know the voice of God. Instead they are heaping upon themselves things that do not promote righteousness. Things like cars, motorcycles, boats and homes they can’t afford and go in debt. And the whole time their brothers and sisters in the faith go hungry and wear worn torn and tattered clothes. Is there not an old song that says “and they will know we are Christians by our love.
” How can you say you love Me and keep my people in poor bondage? Truly you do not know my voice. For if you did you would have given the poor food and clothing.” Says the Lord of hosts.
John knew Gods voice, John heard the thunder and obeyed listen to Gods own Word.
Rev 10:1 And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:
Rev 10:2 And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,
Rev 10:3 And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.
Rev 10:4 And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.
Are you willing to really hear Gods voice? Then follow these two verses:
#1. Psa 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
To meditate means to think upon to ponder, to consider.
#2. Psa 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
When your still with no music, no tv and no distractions you should hear God in a small clear voice. You might even get to hear God when it thunders. That’s right if you can hear God in the midst of a storm you will hear even the angels singing and praising the Lord.
To many say they know God but refuse to follow His commandments. Listen to what Gods own Son had to say and it applies today as it does to all the yesterdays.
The Final Judgment
Mat 25:31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
Mat 25:32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
Mat 25:33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
Mat 25:34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
Mat 25:35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
Mat 25:36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
Mat 25:37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
Mat 25:38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
Mat 25:39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
Mat 25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
Mat 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
Mat 25:42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
Mat 25:43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
Mat 25:44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
Mat 25:45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
Mat 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
Which God are you listening to? Are you listening to the god of health wealth and prosperity? Or are you listening to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob? There is nothing wrong with having nice things that God has blessed you with. However, when your brother or sister in the faith is going hungry and wearing tattered clothes, the line has to be drawn in the sand.
Another issue at hand that the Lord is displeased with: the neglect of those sick and disabled. You call yourself Christians yet you treat the sick and disabled as if they were leprosy.
Do heaven a favor, if you will. Do not call yourself a Christian until you can touch those in prison, those that are sick, and those who are going hungry, those in nursing homes, and those that are in need of your help. (And by the way: there are some who are in such a need you might have to sell a motorcycle or car to help pay to put insulation in their attic. And or rebuild a roof or steps) And just so you know there are many who are called by His name that are just in need of fellowship who are dying spiritually.
When was the last time you turned off the tv or radio? When was the last time you put down your cell phone, tablet, computer and or lap top to spend time with God. Yes you can hear Gods voice by reading HIS Word. However, I am talking about listening to that small still voice that’s in your head. Yes, God will talk to us if we have ears to hear his voice. Even in the midst of a storm you should hear His voice. The problem is we are just to busy and refuse to put our toys away even for an hour or two or three.
Oh you think the issue is just with His people? Believe me, it is not. It goes back to where they learn it all. Not at home so much as the father should be leading devotions and Bible studies at home indeed.
Problem is with the church itself: you see back in the day Christian coffee houses had it right. Their praise and worship would go on for at least an hour and a half sometimes more. But for some reason someone or something put a stop to it and the unwritten code was that praise and worship should only be a half an hour to forty-five minutes. In other words they began to put God in a box and expected Him to behave like a drive though restaurant.
Yes, its past time you as a professing Christian put your toys aside, even sell them if you must to help those in need. Even if it means getting your hands dirty and spending a little of that cash your hiding.
You see some people who are in need truly need new insulation in their attic but cannot afford it. Same applies to those who need a new roof on their garage and house. Sometimes you got to get your hands a little dirty to get the job done.
Gods Word say let him who has ears let him hear what the spirit of the Lord has to say. Do you have ears? Can you hear what God has to say and what God feels? Because sometimes God will share what he is feeling and sometimes God is not happy. Need proof?
Does it not say that God actually repented creating man? Genesis 6:6
"Even at Horeb you provoked the LORD to wrath, and the LORD was so angry with you that He would have destroyed you.
"And in the greatness of Your excellence You overthrow those who rise up against You; You send forth Your burning anger, and it consumes them as chaff.
"By the breath of God they perish, And by the blast of His anger they come to an end.
Many in the Christian realm think/believe that God sits up on His throne and pleasant as can be. But God does have feelings for those on this planet. God loves us but hates the sin. We know that Gods own Son shed tears because the Word of the Lord says that Jesus wept John 11:35
Right now God wants to talk to you directly. He might want to share a new sermon. Maybe God just wants to shine on you His love. Or then too He may direct you to lay on your face before Him in humble obedience. But the main thing I this God wants to talk to you whether it is in the still of the night or when there is a storm.
“Be still and know I am God” so it says in Psalms 46:10
He who has ears let them hear what the Spirit of the Lord has to say
So Be It
Amen
