Personal Plea

I am penning this not as the founder, president, CEO of  Thundrdome Ministries !  Instead I am writing this as David Liebler aka Littlethunder. Furthermore, I am writing this as a person in need of your assistance. Allow me to explain;

Several years back I was informed  that I was legally disabled and I would not be allowed to return to the work force. That was devastating news to say the least as I am one who pretty much enjoyed going to work. Thus began the disability funds and other items that go with the territory.

Today I find myself in dire need of your assistance as money is limited. Below is a short list of thing that need to be repaired:

Ministry News

Thunderdome Ministries Network Inc has begun a two phased operation that will improve not just the ministry but lives of men as well.

Project #1.  A fund raiser to obtain monies to build and maintain a liveable campus. Said campus would be for Christians exiting prison. Once on campus men would work and learn about the Lord while adjusting to a different form of society that you already are use to. To assist simply click on...Project #1

Project #2. Is a bit simpler. It involves raising funding for the ministry itself and to send the Founder on a vacation. Such funds would be to replace a dying laptop, obtain a tablet, replace an aging printer, gain much needed other supplies such as Chick tracts and so forth.

One thing is also needed and that is to send the Founder/President of Thunderdome Ministries on a proper and much deserved and needed vacation. Ever since the ministries birth the Founder has put his own funds into the ministry asking nothing in return. This by the way has been going on since the mid eighties.Now is the time he receive a little something back: an all expense paid train trip on Amtrak to parts unknown.  Simply click on Project #2

Update: Housing

For some readers this is a much needed entry.

Late last year yours truly wound up losing a place to live through various lies.

Since then I have been living on God's good grace staying a month or two at a Christians home. All the while waiting to buy my very first house I can afford in the Holly Michigan area. The biggest issue is money since I am on disability and NOT eligible for low income housing.
So as June 2014 approaches I continue to live on God's good grace.

Just a note here to my dear readers and friends.

Personal Update

As you may remember yours truly is in the process of buying his first house in southeastern Michigan. While this may be good news there also is bad news as well. Allow me to explain;

For ages I have rented apartments that were ready to move in. Thus all the furniture, utilities and so forth was included. This also meant that yours truly did not have to mow lawns, trim trees or even plant a garden or two.Thus it was hassle free to say the least.

Now it will be different and  frankly if I were to move in tomorrow the place would look far more bare than Mother Hubbard's cupboards who were really bare. Thus it has lead to a new page at Littlethunders Castle titled Wish List.

On the Wish List page  you will find the following: a brief introduction and then two buttons. One button is neon green which is my personal wish list. The other button is yellow and that leads to the wish list for the house I am buying. If you would be so kind as to click either or both buttons and lend a helping hand it would be truly be of some help.

There is a third option and that is sending funds in the form of a check and or money order to help cover the costs of furnishing the house. Stick To Yer Guns

This entry may be a bit lengthy but I would like to make several points. Thus if you get boarded you are free to bookmark this entry and return at a later time. With that said allow  me to proceed.

During my recent ordeal I heard advice from several  people of the family of God. Their advice was sound and sometimes even harsh when it was necessary, I knew they all were well meaning and attempting to point me into the right direction. But sometimes even when you know full well they are right there also  be another way.

One certain thing I had to take into consideration is this. God is not the author of confusion. And at times yours truly felt as if he were on a carousel that just did not seem to have rhyme or reasoning. So what does one do in cases like I was going through.

• Consider your health.  God created you to be who you are. He has done this from the time of Adam until forever.  Know your limitations and  be careful.. If you attempt to push the boundaries you will pay a price as I did. And the road to recovery could be long.
• Remember what God has done for you in the past. If God did things for you in a certain manner then He is bound to do the same thing time and time again. I call it a comfortable pattern. A pattern that God know you  can handle.
• Stand fast in His Word.  Continue reading/listening to His Holy Word. By so doing you build up your most holy faith. I choose to listen to Gods Word as the scripture says faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God. If you think your not doing any good by reading His Word  you press on and continue. That Word is getting into you even if you don’t think so.
• Enjoy what is around you.  When God created this planet He did so for many reason. One of those reasons is so you can enjoy and use what is around you.
• Never loose heart. God, the very God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob has a plan for your life even if you can not see it or understand it. Even if everyone is against you God is not.
• Stick to yer Guns,  Sometimes people will tell you one thing that just does not seem right between you and God. Stick to your guns and go where God is leading you, as long as it is legal. Never stick to your guns if the path is illegal. Always stay within the law. It was suggested that I go to a homeless shelter for a day or two. While that sounds good, and you may have to go that route, I stuck to my guns and waited for God to act. Now I will tell you that it may seem foolish but watch what took place: within one hour God provided a choice of two different places to stay. Mind you I had to make a few phone calls but it was Him who really opened the doors.
• Be thankful always. Yes its hard to thank God for things when your in a storm. But even in the midst of the storm the lighthouse still shines her light for safe passage. If your not thankful some may consider you ungrateful.

I have been serving the Lord since 1982 and I can say with confidence this very thing:

Your faithfulness to Him has its own rewards in the end.

Peace the Surpasses All Understanding

As I sit writing this I wonder what path the Lord God has in store for me next. After all when you look to what transpired before this day indeed shows sign of a pretty messed up life. Yet, and I can not figure this one out, life moves onward and forward. So ask when will the madness cease. While the past is really messed up there truly must be a personal rainbow somewhere and some place. 

Recently, yours truly attempted to obtain a house yet the deal did not go through for numerous reasons. Then, and this is so sad, a professing Christian gives  me a tongue lashing that would remind anyone that it came from the very pits of hell itself. Yet, through it all I remain confident that the decision that was mad was lead by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit

How does a person know when the right choice has been made, more so if you are a professing Christian? The answer is rather simple I guess if you have traveled down this road before. The answer my friend is not blowing in the wind. Instead it comes down to having the peace that surpasses all understanding. Plus, one has to look at the long term effect of this decision and not just the short term.

So as I pen this the owner and landlord of Robbins Mobile Village in Waterford Michigan still desires yours truly to move out of a place where he has lived for over fifteen years. While they may be correct in their decision their actions may seem not all to proper. After all how does a person move into a better solution when the finances do not demonstrate the move. For you see yours truly has been living month by month on a fixed income due to a disability that makes it even hard to preform some day to day activities. Furthermore besides the fixed income the amount of funding I received per month has been reduced so much that having even one meal a day is a sacrifice.

So, you ask, where is God in all this. Indeed He is there through it all.He has a plan. He has a  way that is perfect, right and proper.

God’s Word says the following”

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.. Proverbs 3: 5-8

And He also says in Psalms 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.”

And lastly  Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.   Psalm 1:1-2

How do I know that the choice that was made was right? Because I for one have the peace of God that surpasses all understanding. While the enemy is furious and spews out of his mouth false accusations in order to steal not just the joy I have but also the peace.

Will another opportunity come along? Well the best way to put it is this’ The very same God who is rich in mercy will open the door that is right and proper. And of course it would need to be near the church He has appointed me to attend.

**If you are unfamiliar with downloading and uninstalling  software please seek the help of a friend who is more experienced.  Why? There is more to removing a program than simply “uninstalling” the program. Sometimes there is a trace of the software in the far reaches of your hard drive that needs to be removed manually.

*** When downloading a program keep an eye on the download progress. As of late some programs have other programs built into the download. Thus you may wind up installing three or four programs along with the one you intended on.

The Silent Supporter

Years ago I heard a story about a person who knew of the needs of another. Due to his shyness he did not want anyone to know of what he would do. Often he would send his/her love gifts via a simple money orders for various amounts.

I believe that the Lord wants this ministry to move forward. Furthermore He wants to send this person out to do speaking engagements. And lastly I believe that Operation Second Chance needs to move forward in assisting men of faith to adjust to society and with their walk with God as they exit prison life here in the state of Michigan.
