They say the number eight(8) is a sign of new beginnings. Okay, I say lets prove it and you can make a determination:
Oil
1988 I find my way to Texas meet some Christian friends, attend a local church and all seem fine in Texas.
Then In recalled to the state of Michigan where I grew up 99.9% of my life. I meet a Pastor who became my mentor for 26 years, a great thing right?
Some where in this era I bought a Asus G60 laptop. Great piece of hardware except now it sits in need of repairs.
Lastly, I wind up losing a friend over a error is judgment on both sides of the coin, if you please.
Fast forward
Janauary 2018
With the loss of my friend, financial advisor and all my financial records I move onward. After all, in life we can expect gains and losses, even friendships if you please.
Then, one morning Microsoft sent my newer Asus laptop some updates. The laptop NEVER recovered when it went into a restart. All I get us this black screen with a whirls icon that sits there for hours. So I attempt to use every shortcut I remember of my 15 plus years experience with desktop and laptop computers. End result...... zip.... zilch....nothing. I am dead in the water as they might say.
Then, even though I am paying on my Flint Michigan water bill I get what amounts to, shall we say, a nasty letter demanding more money than I have period. So now I'm faced with two disasters. As if that is not enough right? Wrong!
Of you read my last rambling you would know of the water breach in the basement due to an all day rains and very warm temperatures. Now I have this mess and the story does not end there; according to my insurance agent I need funds, that I don't have, in order to get a cleanup & repair crews in to take care of the flood.
In Short
I no longer buy into the idea that the number eight is a sign of new beginnings. Unless you want to talk about disasters, malfunctions and lack of funding then I might buy into it.
Life is good?
Despite pitfalls and so forth life still is better than before. At least I am not in prison, even though prison life does have its perks. At least In not living in an apartment where you may get loud neighbors from time to time. But with an apartment there's no grass to mow, snow to shovel or plow.
Life is good if you have a relationship with the very God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. A life built on faith, trust and belief is better than a life....in a body bag.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope I didn't bore you!
Signed
Littlethunder

Alone?
Well for single people thats what Christians is like for million of single people. They sit at home on Christmas day perhaps eating a simple tv dinner while watching either some movie or watching a sporting event. What about family members? Well if you have family they might invite you over for a home cooked meal. However, if your the last one in the family Christmas can be an welcomed guest.
The latter aspect is true for this writer. So, every Christmas its a simple microwaveable tv dinner and a little time for a movie from the DVD collection. And forget the Mincemeat Pie not one grocery store sells them. So my favorite pie and ice cream go by the wayside like other traditions.
How can you help?

What do I Need?
As all Ministries goes something always needs to be done. In today's post I want to share with you something that Thunderdome Ministry needs taken care of.
Back in 2006 yours truly obtained a Asus G60 laptop. At the time considered one of the best gaming laptop on the market.
Today it still does its job day in and day out. However, its showing its age and needs repairs.
One thing is the keyboard that needs replacing. The other is the DVD/CDR needs work as well.
The problem?
#1Thunderdome Ministry does not have enough funds to have the laptop repaired.
#2. There is no authorized Asus repair shop in the Flint & Waterford Michigan area. Thus a local reputable computer store would need to preform the surgery.
#3. The laptop is used several times a day for ministry work. Thus, being without the system to long could hurt the ministry.
If you know of a Christian computer repair store in the west side of Flint Michigan who could do the repairs please contact one Lawrence Adel Sefa in Facebook soon.
Thank you for your time today.

Personal Update
As you may remember yours truly is in the process of buying his first house in southeastern Michigan. While this may be good news there also is bad news as well. Allow me to explain;
For ages I have rented apartments that were ready to move in. Thus all the furniture, utilities and so forth was included. This also meant that yours truly did not have to mow lawns, trim trees or even plant a garden or two. Thus it was hassle free to say the least.
Now it will be different and frankly if I were to move in tomorrow the place would look far more bare than Mother Hubbard's cupboards who were really bare. Thus it has lead to a new page at Littlethunders Castle titled Wish List.
On the Wish List page you will find the following: a brief introduction and then two buttons. One button is neon green which is my personal wish list. The other button is yellow and that leads to the wish list for the house I am buying. If you would be so kind as to click either or both buttons and lend a helping hand it would be truly be of some help.
There is a third option and that is sending funds in the form of a check and or money order to help cover the costs of furnishing the house. Simply email me at littlethunder727@hotmail.com and in the subject line put “Wish List.” In turn I will send you the address where you can mail the funds you desire to send.
This new page to Littlethunders Castle very well will stay through all of next year. Thus feel free to bookmark it for future use.
Thank you for your time today. I now return you to your daily chores.

The Cats Out Of The Bag
For months you have read this blog learning new things about your computer. A trick here or there with a tip or two thrown in for extra measure. Now I am going to share with you various places on the World Wide Web where I sometimes get my information.
- PC Pitstop } If you are going to run the test on this website it is best that you use Internet Explorer
Download sites you may never have heard of:
- Official US Time Clock } I use this when it comes time to set clocks/watches forwards or backwards according to Daylight Savings Time. This is useful when setting the clock on your computer and or laptop.
**If you are unfamiliar with downloading and uninstalling software please seek the help of a friend who is more experienced. Why? There is more to removing a program than simply “uninstalling” the program. Sometimes there is a trace of the software in the far reaches of your hard drive that needs to be removed manually.
*** When downloading a program keep an eye on the download progress. As of late some programs have other programs built into the download. Thus you may wind up installing three or four programs along with the one you intended on.
I hope you learned a little something from the above. Mind you that what you read above is only a fraction of what is on the World Wide Web. You simply have to be willing to break free of Facebook and go exploring for several hours.
Luke 9:23-24“Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it.” Brought to you by BibleGateway.com. Copyright (C) . All Rights Reserved. |
