Allow yours truly to give you a little advise about creating a website and or blog;
#1. think } think about what you want to do and say
#2. plan } plan out what your website or blog will look like. Not just today but in the years ahead.
#3. gather } gather up graphics such as jpg's and gif's and be sure its legal to reuse them on your website.
#4. commitment and dedication} once you start down the path of creating and owing a website or blog your in it for the long haul. So be sure its want you really want to do.
#5. Learn} learn HTML coding and have on hand a color chart. Creating a website using HTML coding is rewarding. For easy instructions I recommend HTML For Dummies
#6 Know the history } having a knowledge of the history of the World Wide Web and the Internet is helpful
#7. Advertise } having a website and or blog is nice but people will not find visitors themself. People need direction in the form of advertising. I suggest a good PTC to help with advertising. Please see my website titled PTC's I Trust
#8. Know DOS} knowing the basics of the old DOS can work in your favor as it is the building block of every Windows program every created. Today you might see it as Command Prompt.
#9. Mentorship} what helped me was having a mentor. For about 4 years he showed me how to create a website that a person can be proud of.
#10 Pen what you know} if you know how to cook then writing about cooking. If you know how to.bake pies and cakes show the reader how to do it. Throwing out facts and dates is not enough anyone can do that. Share what you know, you never know there might be someone willing to listen and learn.
While all of the above seems fruitless it is important to know exactly what your getting into from the beginning.
