Where Do We God From Here" Update #2

As seconds  tick away we draw closer and closer to the deadline of of October 15th 2013 where  this writer needs to have another place to live. As one brother in the household of faith tries to et me into a low income housing apartment only God and God alone knows where I will be laying my head at night and in the days and months ahead.

In the book of Act we see where the "household of faith" had all things in common. Even going to the point of  making sure members had a place to live. Listen to what it says,

"Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need."   Acts 4: 34-35

Mind you dear reader, those are not my words but words from the very Word of God Himself.! I frankly do not think that God had those words inserted  just to fill space. Those words were penned to teach those after the fact how the "household of faith" is to act one towards another.

But let us go back further to the time when the Hebrew people were in the desert place after excaping Egypt.  Back in those days when you traveled with the tribe you were taken care of so you and the tribe could live on. If someone was hungry they were fed. If the waan wheel broke it  was fixed by another person who knew how. Furthermore, it did not matter if you were rich, poor,ugly or handsome  everyone was cared for.

AS time draws to a close members of the family of God need to bond together to help each other no matter the need and no matter of ones past or weakness. Why is is? Because every member of the family of God is a vital aspect.  Just like your Pastor is important to your church so is the Sunday School teacher and yes even the ushers  and so forth. 

So what will happen to yours truly if there is no place to resst my head  on the evening of October 15th?  Well at this point I can honestly say this, only God knows. I only hope that the lessons we have learned over the years about  how the family of God lived and acted back then will serve as an eample to what they ought to be doing to every member of the household of faith.
