Blog & Website Tips

AS you have heard me say this still holds true today: keep your website and blog fresh and clean. Now that the Holidays are over now is the time to do a little tweaking of your website and or blog.

For example: even though I do not write stuff much @ http://thundersstorms.blogspot.com/ I still like to keep the site looking fresh and clean. Why is this? If you receive a visitor today, that person just may come back the following month to see if there are any updates. If they see a new and fresh look it tells them that you have not abandoned the site,

Lets take  Thunders Storms Blog that is located in Blogger. Some people visit the blog for new content. When I was there recently I made some changes.  A few of the changes are as follows: #1 a new background #2 some banners were moved #3 the links connecting back to my Amazon e-stores was moved from the left side to the right along with a listing of various links you might be interest in checking out and #4 is the addition of News from Google & Microsoft was added.

Remember the rule of thumb I told you about before? If you like the looks and feel of your website and blog then you need to use it. Your website and blog should in some way or another reflect you and your personality.  The other day  I happened to come across a website that was really is-organized and cluttered to the point I could not figure out what the website was about; Needless to say I did not bookmark that website.

Allow me to answer a question that I see some have raised in my blog over at WordPress: All templates belong to either Wordpress or Blogger. I do not own the templates. However, sometimes I will change a background to one that comes out of a file in my computer. Many times I will use  something that belongs to the host and modify it to my likes. Thus, you could say it is a good  50/50 partnership.
