Over the years ive seen way to much perhaps. One thing ive seen involves humans and empoyment. So lets examin this issue.
Have you ever used or heard the phrase "I cant find a job?" i know in my early days i used that phrase. Until i realized that there are business that are hiring.
If you cant find a job perhaps your shooting to high. Wnd you need to start a little lower.
Often people will hire you on a probationary period. In otherwords you are there to see if your a goid fit for the company.
Over the years any restaurants i was hired in i started at the bottom of the ladder. Example: i wanted to be a head cook. Instead a postion as head cook they hire you as a dishwasher. Then in due time after you proved yourself you are promoted to busboy. Being a busboy is not a criminal action. Instead it allows you to see and meet the public on a limited bases.
Little by little you work your way up the ranks until your a head cook.
Work places want to see how serious you are. If you show up late. Take longer breaks than allowed you could be shown the door
Still cant find a job? No jobs out there still?
Even though i cant work again i stay ontop of certain things. One of those is keeping my resume up to date.
Wereyou a volunteer some place for several months? You can put it on your resume.
Helped out at your house of worship? Also usable on your resume.
On your resume you CAN include your skills, hobbies and cultural enjoyments like goung to museums, concerts and so forth.
Do you play chess? Its useableon a resume. Why? It demonstrates the abilty to think things through andyou know how to tackel strategy.
I also recieve every day 3 emails listing job opening. You need to use the world wide web and the internet to your advantage.
Basicly this is how it looks:
#1. Keep your resumeup to date even if your retired or disabled.
#2. Dont set you goals to high. You may need to statt at the bottom and thats okay.
#3. There are resources at your fingertips; Internet, newspapers and your email account.
#5. Being a volunteer is a good thing and usable on your resume.
#6. Dont let to many todays pile up between jobs. If your in a position to volunteer while out of work do so.
It took me years before i became ahead cook. In the process i learned about myself and of my work place.
Want a book to go through? I suggest "What Color Is Your Parchute." it is available on Amazon.
I hope this was helpful
Have a good day.
