Reading is an action that takes place with a race of people named humans. Such action requires skill and the knowledge of putting words and phrases together building sentences and paragraphs. And those paragraphs build stories.
While the above is true, there is an exception to the rule. That rule is called signs and signals. And those signals conjure up words such as stop or no parking. However, in recent days, months and yes even years a new trend has emerged. That trend comes forth in the ego of "I dont care what it says i'll do as I want."
A cases in point
#1. I don't care if that sign says stop or not I wont do it. And what transpires is a person failing to come to a complete stop at a stop sign.
#2. Failure to yield. You know those white lines on the road at a stop sign or stop light? A driver is to stop behind that white line. Do you know why? Answer is as follows, to allow pedestrians the freedom to cross the street without any impairment. I heard that in a certain country in South America tickets are mailed to drivers who fail to stop behind the white line. How does law enforcement know you enquire? The answer is roadside cameras that takes pictures. Grand idea I declare. A concept that ought to be enforced here in the States.
#3. I'm better than them or I don't care what the sign means. I am referring to the blue and white sign that as parking spot or area is for the sole use of a handicap person. I have witnessed people pulling into such parking areas who do not displaying either a handicap license plate or the blue and white handicap placard.and the driver or persons in the car/truck/van is not handicap. Thus, the handicap person is kept from his or her rightful place.
#4. Whats that for? Ever drive down the highway and see someone change lanes without using his or her turn signal? I am not sure whats on their mind but it must not be driving and or they must think other people can read their minds. Please use your turn signals when changing lanes both on and off the highway.
#5. Not fast enough. Ever drive down the road and out of nowhere zooms past you a car or truck doing well over the speed limit? No if they are headed to a fire but the lack of concern for others well being seems part of his or her life. Along with their behavior is that where they will tailgate you if your not going fast enough when clearly your doing the speed limit.
More and more I see a total disrespect for #1 the law #2 others well being. If that statement were not true youg would see proper driving habits on the road. This is not a seasonal thing either. As I have sen the above mentioned behavior all four seasons of any given year.
