Discipleship Training?

Disciples a person who has underwent discipleship training from his/her spiritual leader(s)

We are not talking about making a cult like the late Jim Jones. But teaching a group of committed Christians
#1. Gods Word
#2. Commitment
#3. Discipline (but not on a cruel and barbaric level)

When yours truly underwent discipleship training I was blessed part way into it with a mentor. In fact my mentor was not only a Pastor but also a Minister of Evangelism. I was blessed to have my mentor from August 22 1988 until March 16 2016 when he went on to be with the Lord.
That, dear reader is about 20 years or more of commitment not just to a teacher but moreso unto God.

Sadly to many in this day and age cannot seem to commit to any length of time. Some saying its time to "retire" or that they "are burned out." Both are cheap excuses and hold no foundation whatsoever.

Pastors and Sunday School teachers should worry less about who ate the fruit in the Garden of Eden first and more about making disciples out of what they have and of course showing those the way down the Romans Road, aka salvation or in 2nd Corinthians its called the Word of Reconciliation.

Can discipleship traing be possible in this day and age? The answer is s big yes. What's the end result? Look at the inner circle of those around Jesus; they gave up all they had even to the point of death.
Can discipleship train transpire in your city or state? The answer is yes.
Want to know how?
#1. Read Gods Word see and hear what Gods own Son taught.
#2. Pray for guidance. God will never lead you astray only men like Jim Jones.
#3. IF God so leads look into buying 100 acres of land to build and harvest on. God will show you more on this.
#4. Find a group of Christisns to be on staff on a rotation basis.just like working 9 to 5 perse.
#5. Find a indivuals willing to live on campus for a six month basic training. Out of those you may find your next leaders and teachers.

It's time to get back to doing ehst Gods one Son told us to do, "make disciples."

Safe to say I believe that IF discipleship training is done properly there just might be more of the United States population sitting in churches today. Thus, its safe to say that those in the church are not doing the jobs even Jesus did Himself.

The task of discipleship training is a lost art. Mostly because people rather sit in pews doing nothing than get their little hands dirty.
