The Internet, the Web, the World Wide Web.All names given for the exact samething and you are part of it whether you like it or not.Like everything on this planet there was a beginning and for the most part there seems to be no end, or that's what some believe. However in truth even the World Wide Web has an end but as far as I know know one knows where it is located exactly.
So, now. lets get to you. Just why are you on the World Wide Web? Are you here to learn? Socialize? Play games? Earn money? Show someone the way to heaven? Every person that ever was on the internet had the same reason that you do. Thus you are far from the first person to be here. You, dear reader are one of many in search of one thing or another. So let us examine a few things to set the record straight.
A. Socialize. If you are on the world wide web to socialize then here is a question for you. Why are you playing games that only involve yourself? Why is there no communication proceeding from your keypad? You say your on places like Facebook but you fail to say hello or goodbye or anything between all the while you are, as they say, on line. Then there comes this question: you are on a website where the primary language is English but instead of commutating in English you pen material that is in a language no one knows or can understand. So let us face it if you are really on a social website and you are not commutating with your “friends” what does that say about you.
B. Games. On the World Wide Web there are hundreds of websites that are strictly for gaming. Game sites like Pogo have been on the internet for over a decade and they have hundreds of players. For everyone the site included a something that is known as chat so gamers can communicate with each other during play time if they so desire.But the main reason everyone is there is to….play games.
C. Making money. There are all kinds of websites where one can earn money all the while they are promoting his or her own website of one kind or another. On such sites one has to have a cool head and watch out for hidden schemes of one kind or another. In this realm of the internet it is wise to let the visitor to beware.
D. Education. in the last five to eight years educational institutes have made there way onto the world wide web. If one is wise s/he could even earn his or her degree in one field or another. However, one needs to take care of websites as not all are legal and some are filled with nothing but money makers who will take your hard earned cash and run. So check out the school you are planning on attending online.
C. Religious education. Just like in education and money making websites there are those of religious reasoning that are both good and bad. How can you tell the difference between the good and the bad religious websites? The key to answering this question is easy: does the doctrine they teach line up with God’s Word, aka the Holy Bible? Does the website or church believe the Bible is the written Word of God? Do they believe that Jesus is the Son of God who came in the flesh and born of a virgin birth? Do they believe the Bible is true from cover to cover?
In closing
So dear reader just why are you on this thing called the World Wide Web? Can you honestly say that you are on a social website to really socialize or to just play games. For you see there is this very truth that not one person on this planet can deny; You can play games with people on this planet but to play games with God you will find yourself on the losing end every single time.
Whatever you do while on this planet make sure you are on the winning side with God for all eternity. For you see heaven and earth will pass away but God and His Word will last for all eternity. Take time today to stop playing games with God and make this your acceptable day of salvation. Be willing here and now to take the trip down the Romans Road that will lead to everlasting life. Then and only then will you become a winner for all eternity,
